About DermIQ

What is DermIQ?

DermIQ is a year-round dermatology and aesthetics education organization for every clinician who touches skin: dermatologists, primary care, PAs, NPs, allergists and aesthetic clinicians. It runs live, CME-accredited editions like the DermIQ Summit and the DermIQ Dermato-Allergy Exchange, and is building education, a professional network and a secure clinician app for the time between them.

Is DermIQ just a once-a-year event?

No. The DermIQ Summit is our annual gathering, but DermIQ is the organization behind it. Live editions are one of four pillars, alongside year-round education, a professional network and a clinician app, which are planned and in development.

Who runs DermIQ?

DermIQ is led by Naiem T. Issa, MD, PhD, FAAD (President and Chair) with co-founders Risha Bellomo, MPAS, PA-C, and Leda Marie Beaty. Programs are presented on behalf of the Diversified Dermatology Education Foundation (DDEF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and events are managed by BCI Management & Communications.

How is DermIQ different from other dermatology meetings?

It teaches the whole care team in one room, with dermatology leading and primary care, PAs, NPs, allergists and aesthetic clinicians learning and teaching in their areas. Sessions focus on referral clarity and co-management, editions stay small on purpose, and registration is priced to remove the barrier.

Editions and registration

What events does DermIQ have in 2027?

Three editions: the DermIQ Dermato-Allergy Exchange in Tysons Corner, VA on March 13 to 14, 2027; the DermIQ Summit 2027 in Miami in June 2027 (dates and venue TBA); and a second Dermato-Allergy Exchange in Chicago in Q3 2027.

How much does registration cost?

The Dermato-Allergy Exchange is $99 for every attendee. DermIQ Summit 2027 is $199 for clinicians and $500 for industry and MSL attendees. The Summit waitlist is open now, with no payment needed.

Why does registration ask for my NPI number?

Your NPI helps verify clinician registrations and issue CME certificates correctly. Search for yours in the NPPES NPI Registry at npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov.

Where do I book a hotel?

Hotel room blocks are shared with registrants once confirmed. For the Exchange and the 2027 Summit, venues will be announced soon. Please use only the booking link DermIQ provides.

CME and content

Are DermIQ events CME-accredited?

Yes. DermIQ editions are CME-accredited through an independent accredited provider. The 2026 Summit was jointly provided by Amedco LLC and QMED CME. Credit totals for 2027 editions will be announced with each final program.

Do sponsors shape the curriculum?

No. Industry partners support the events, but they don't write the curriculum. Product theaters and industry programs are always labeled non-CME and are not part of the accredited activity.

Is there education between events?

We are building it: recorded sessions, faculty-led power hours, case discussions and a secure clinician app for case discussion and referral follow-up. These are planned, and newsletter subscribers will hear first.
